Jennifer Lopez announced Friday that she was cancelling her summer tour to prioritize spending time with her family, amid swirling rumors of a split with actor-husband Ben Affleck.
The singer, in her newsletter “On the JLo” sent to fans, revealed that the tour was off, expressing her heartache over letting fans down and promising to make it up to them.
Tour promoter Live Nation also shared a message, stating that Lopez was taking time off to be with her children, family, and close friends.
The cancellation follows several adjustments to the tour, including cutting dates and rebranding it as a greatest hits tour rather than focusing on her latest album.
Reports of troubles between Lopez and Affleck have been circulating, with speculation that they have been living separately in Los Angeles.
According to People Magazine, the couple’s different approaches to celebrity have strained their relationship, with Lopez being more open to the public while Affleck prefers privacy.
Lopez and Affleck first met on the set of the movie “Gigli” in 2003, became a media sensation during their initial relationship, and later rekindled their romance in 2021.
They married in a small ceremony in Nevada in 2022 and had a lavish ceremony at Affleck’s waterfront compound in Georgia the same year.
The couple reportedly purchased a $60 million home together in Los Angeles last year.
