Juliet Ibrahim, a Ghanaian actress, has once more spoken out about experiencing domestic violence in a prior relationship.
Remember when Juliet said her boyfriend had her locked up and had been raping her for days?
In a social media Q&A with her followers, the actress acknowledged that she had been a victim of domestic violence.
What victims of domestic violence should do was a question from a fan.
On Friday, Juliet outlined how she took the decision to leave and overcame the situation.
She then gave the fan some sound tips on how to do the same.
“Walk the hell away, girl!!” she exclaimed.
I’ve been a victim myself, and I’m not going to stay.
I fought my way out of problems, and one has also be strategic.
“And have someone on the outside you can trust to notify you, and you both plot your escape and exit before it’s too late.”
Juliet described how her sister protected her from her lover, who had been assaulting her for days, in a recent interview with Chude Jideonwo.
When she informed him that it constituted rape, he allegedly stated that they were in a relationship.
When I informed him it was rape, he said, but we’re in a relationship,” she explained.
I didn’t say yes because I wasn’t in the mood.
“He had me pinned down and was doing whatever he pleased.
I informed him he was a rapist and he smiled.
“I had to fight my way out of that relationship since he even locked me in his house for days.
Sonia, my sister, came to look for me.
“I was terrified and concerned since he was much bigger and taller than me.
For days, he raped me.”
