Juventus have parted ways with head coach Igor Tudor after a disappointing stretch that saw the team go eight games without a win.
The club confirmed the decision in an official statement on Monday, adding that Massimiliano Brambilla, current coach of the reserve team, will temporarily step in ahead of their upcoming Serie A fixture against Udinese.
“Juventus Football Club today announces that Igor Tudor is no longer the head coach of the first team,” the statement read. “His staff members Ivan Javorčić, Tomislav Rogić, and Riccardo Lanić have also left their roles.”
The club expressed gratitude to Tudor and his team for their “professionalism and dedication” and wished them success in their future pursuits.
Tudor’s exit follows a 1-0 defeat to Lazio on Sunday, which extended the club’s poor run and increased pressure from fans. The result marked three consecutive losses in all competitions, leaving Juventus eighth in Serie A and struggling for form.
The 46-year-old Croatian took over from Thiago Motta in March, recording 10 wins, eight draws, and six defeats in 24 matches. His standout moment came early in the campaign with a 1-0 win over Inter Milan — still their last victory.
Reports from Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio suggest that Luciano Spalletti, who led Napoli to the Serie A title in 2023, is the leading candidate to take over permanently. Other names in the mix include Roberto Mancini, Raffaele Palladino, and former boss Thiago Motta, who remains under contract with Juventus despite his earlier dismissal.
Brambilla will now guide the Bianconeri from the sidelines when they face Udinese at the Allianz Stadium on Wednesday — a crucial test as Juventus look to turn their season around.
