Kanye West Makes Quiet Court Visit Amid Sean Combs Trial
Kanye West, now known as Ye, made a low-key appearance at a Manhattan federal courthouse on Friday to show support for Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently facing serious allegations in a high-profile trial.
Though he didn’t step into the courtroom itself, Ye briefly watched the proceedings via closed-circuit video from an adjacent room, accompanied by one of Combs’ sons. When asked by ABC if he came to back Combs, Ye simply nodded and said, “Yes.”
His appearance came shortly after a former partner of Combs, testifying under the name Jane, concluded her time on the witness stand. Her account detailed intense and troubling claims about being coerced into drug-fueled encounters involving escorts — allegations that mirrored earlier testimony from Combs’ longtime ex, Casandra Ventura, who referred to the experiences as “freak-offs.”
Jane also recounted a trip to Las Vegas last year on a private jet owned by a well-known rapper, during which she introduced a male escort to the rapper and his girlfriend.
Over the past few weeks, jurors have heard from multiple witnesses who painted a picture of control and manipulation allegedly exerted by Combs over those in his circle — from employees to romantic partners.
Combs, now 55, has denied all charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering, and maintains that the relationships and encounters in question were entirely consensual. If found guilty, he could face a life sentence.
The trial continues and is expected to run through at least the end of June.
