Kanye West’s X Account Deactivated Following Controversial Posts
Kanye West, who now goes by the name Ye, has seen his account on X deactivated following a series of controversial posts filled with anti-Semitic rants. The decision to remove the account has left fans wondering if Ye himself took the step or if X made the move.
In his final message, Ye expressed gratitude to Elon Musk, the owner of X, for giving him a platform to “vent,” describing it as a cathartic experience. “I’m logging out of Twitter. I appreciate Elon for allowing me to vent. It has been very cathartic to use the world as a sounding board,” Ye wrote.
This latest incident is part of a familiar pattern for the 47-year-old artist, who has repeatedly made headlines not just for his music, but for his provocative statements and social media rants. In fact, Ye has faced bans from platforms in the past, including an eight-month suspension from X after violating rules against inciting violence.
In his recent posts, Ye made statements supporting music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is facing sex trafficking charges, and shockingly referred to himself as a “Nazi.” He also stirred up controversy by discussing his infamous Grammy red carpet moment with wife Bianca Censori, where she made headlines with a barely-there outfit.
X has yet to provide an official comment on the account deactivation.
Ye has long been open about his struggles with bipolar disorder and recently revealed on the “The Download” podcast that he has also been diagnosed with autism.
