This Christmas, Kate Middleton is a lady in red.
When the 40-year-old Princess of Wales posed for two new pictures to promote the upcoming “Royal Carols: Together at Christmas” television special, she revived a look that was a fan favorite, and her holiday outfit is still available (for now).
Middleton smiled at the camera while standing in front of a Christmas tree and a fireplace covered in greenery while sporting the sequin-covered Needle & Thread “Aurora Ballerina Dress” ($719), which she first wore to a Buckingham Palace reception in January 2020. The tweet’s caption read, “#TogetherAtChristmas @itv Christmas Eve.”
According to the brand’s website, her long-sleeved tulle dress with lace detailing at the neck and arms was “inspired by a vintage lace tablecloth.”
The Princess of Wales accessorized with red shoes and the same dangling ruby Soru earrings ($189) she wore the first time she wore the dress. Her hair was styled in long, loose curls.
A camera and lighting equipment can be seen in a second behind-the-scenes image taken when the mother of three posed for a picture before Thursday’s recording of the royal carol concert.
The princess has donned several beautiful red dresses recently, including this one. For the first Diplomatic Corps Reception at Buckingham Palace since 2019, Middleton wore a brand-new Jenny Packham dress with sequin embellishment, adding the Lotus Flower Tiara.
She wore a Catherine Walker coat dress with a giant bow at the neck for the first-ever “Together at Christmas” event in red last year. She also took the piano for a special performance with singer Tom Walker.
On Thursday, Westminster Abbey will host the joyous performance, which coincides with the release of the last three episodes of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s “Harry & Meghan” Netflix series.
Middleton might experience a variety of crimson emotions.
