The chart-topping album Renaissance by Beyoncé, which received nine nominations for Album, Record, and Song of the Year, is the most nominated album for the 65th Grammy Awards.
For his album Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, Kendrick Lamar receives eight nominations. Adele and Brandi Carlile each receive seven nominations for their respective albums, 30 and In These Silent Days.
Along with the aforementioned performers, the Album of the Year candidates also includes Harry Styles’ Harry’s House, Un Verano Sin Ti by Bad Bunny, Good Morning Gorgeous by Mary J. Blige, Music of the Spheres by Coldplay, and Voyage by ABBA.
In addition to ABBA’s “Don’t Shut Me Down,” other contenders for Record of the Year include Adele’s “Easy On Me,” Beyoncé’s “BREAK MY SOUL,” Mary J. Blige’s “Good Morning Gorgeous,” Brandi Carlile’s “You And Me On The Rock,” Doja Cat’s “Woman,” Steve Lacy’s “Bad Habit,” Kendrick Lamar’s “The Heart Part 5
Anitta, Omar Apollo, DOMi & JD Beck, Samara Joy, Latto, Mneskin, Muni Long, Tobe Nwigwe, Molly Tuttle, and Wet Leg are the nominees for Best New Artist.
Another notable category, Best Rap Album, includes the songs God Did by DJ Khaled, I Never Liked You by Future, Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers by Kendrick Lamar, Come Home the Kids Miss You by Jack Harlow, and It’s Almost Dry by Pusha T.

Following Bruno Mars and Anderson, Silk Sonic, the huge winner from the previous year, was not among the candidates. An Evening With Silk Sonic, Paak’s self-titled debut album, was removed from consideration. Drake and The Weeknd withheld their solo albums as part of their boycott of the Grammys, although they were nevertheless nominated for two Best Rap Song awards for their collaborations with Jack Harlow and Future, “Churchill Downs” and “Wait for U,” respectively.

Together, Beyoncé and JAY-Z set a record-breaking 88 nominations for their respective careers, tying them for the most Grammy nominations ever.
