Former Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, expressed her gratitude and reflections on her removal from office by President Bola Tinubu on Thursday. In her statement, she thanked the President for the opportunity to serve and reaffirmed her dedication to Nigeria’s growth and development.
Her dismissal came as part of a broader cabinet reshuffle, where five ministers were removed, including Lola Ade-John (Tourism) and Jamila Bio Ibrahim (Youth Development). Also relieved of their duties were Tahir Mamman, Minister of Education, and Abdullahi Muhammad Gwarzo, Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development.
In her message, Kennedy-Ohanenye expressed her appreciation, stating, “It has been a true honor and privilege to contribute to Nigeria’s development during my time as Minister.” She extended her gratitude to the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for her support and guidance throughout her tenure.
Kennedy-Ohanenye also took the opportunity to thank the Nigerian people, acknowledging their unwavering support as a source of inspiration. “I remain dedicated to serving my country and will continue to do everything I can to contribute to its progress and prosperity,” she added.
