King Charles III Welcomes President Bola Tinubu at Buckingham Palace
On Thursday, King Charles III hosted President Bola Tinubu at Buckingham Palace in the UK. The meeting was confirmed by Olusegun Dada, the new media aide to President Tinubu, who shared a photo of the two leaders engaging warmly on X.
During their discussion, they focused on strengthening the diplomatic relationship and partnership between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
Dada noted, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu met with His Majesty, King Charles at Buckingham Palace. The meeting underscored the ongoing diplomatic ties and collaboration between Nigeria and the UK.”
This was their first meeting since November 2023, just before the 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28) held in Dubai, UAE.
President Tinubu’s visit to the UK followed a trip to China, where several agreements were made between Nigeria and China. He is now set to travel to New York for the upcoming United Nations General Assembly.
