Reports earlier that day indicated that the 76-year-old king would continue his cancer treatment into the coming year. Sources from Buckingham Palace shared that his condition has been progressing positively and remains manageable, with treatment cycles scheduled to continue.
In February, the palace announced that King Charles had been diagnosed with cancer and would temporarily step back from his royal duties for treatment. By March, it was revealed that Catherine, Princess of Wales, had also been diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy.
Despite his diagnosis, King Charles resumed his royal responsibilities within a few months, steadily increasing his workload over the course of the year. His activities included numerous engagements and international visits.
On Friday, King Charles and Queen Camilla visited Waltham Forest in East London, participating in a community-focused event celebrating unity and diversity. This marks their last public appearance before their Christmas holiday.
