The Lagos State Police Command has begun an investigation into the death of Kambilichukwu, the son of popular actor, Yul Edochie.
Edochie was said to have reported his son’s death to the police.
SP The state’s Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the development to the Daily Post on Friday, saying the matter would be forwarded to the State Criminal Investigation Department.
Kambilichukwu, 16, died on Thursday morning after suffering a seizure and being rushed to Lagos’ Mother and Child Hospital.
Edochie celebrated his 16th birthday with his wife, Mary Edochie, two months before Kambilichukwu died.
Yul celebrated his (son’s) 16th birthday on January 4 on social media with the caption “A very happy 16th birthday to my first son, Kambilinachukwu Leo Yul-Edochie.” May God always guide and protect you. With many more happy years ahead of you. “Daddy adores you.”
According to reports, he died after having a seizure while playing football.
