There has been a lot of talk on social media recently about the feud between Lil Durk and NBA YoungBoy. There has been tension between Durk’s camp and the Never Broke Again imprint since the fatal shooting of King Von outside of an Atlanta hookah lounge almost three years ago. In the midst of all the chaos, DaBaby and YoungBoy collaborated on their Better Than You album last year.
Apparently, OTF affiliate Memo600 was not pleased with the collaboration, sending some negative vibes to the Charlotte rapper via Instagram. This sparked a war of words between the two, with DaBaby eventually alleging that Lil Durk “waved the white flag” in his DM.
I’ve been following Akademiks for 9-10 years now & the clips from that interview with Durk is so cringeworthy Like the instigating he doing between lil Durk & youngboy wild

Smurk rarely gives interviews, but he joined Akademiks on his “Off The Record” podcast earlier this week to clarify the situation. When it first happened, DaBaby felt compelled to express himself through social media. “There ain’t a gang, city, N**GA, or neighborhood in da WORLD scary enough to make BABY pick and choose who to get money from n**ga,” he explained.
During the conversation, the “All My Life” rapper confirmed that he contacted DaBaby, but he denied Baby’s recollection of what transpired. “I’m like, ‘Hey fam, whatever you’ve got going on when you’re doing a tape, that’s y’all.’ “Do you get what I’m saying?” Durk stated. “That’s when the other nonsense, ‘Waving the white flag,’ came out.” in my DM
The OTF general went on to say that he and DaBaby met in person earlier this year during one of Future’s tour stops and were able to work things out. “I drew him into a room. There will be no ‘come here!’ “I said, ‘Check it out,'” he explained. “He looks at me like, ‘What?'” ‘That is small s**t, small s**t. Let’s get down to business. “See what they’re trying to do to you?” he continued. “There’s no beef here.” Why? I don’t give a f**k because you collaborated with that guy on an album. ‘How much did that s**t sell for?'”
They were eventually able to let bygones be bygones. Hopefully, they’ll get into the studio and cook up some heat for the fans sooner rather than later. Check out the conversation below!
