Lil Wayne’s skateboarding dreams have come true.
Weezy has officially become a pro, more than a decade after taking up the hobby. Phil Lopez, his Young Money Skate videographer, gave Weezy his first pro model board just before Christmas.
RX Philly created Weezy’s signature board, which includes a photo of a young Dwayne Michael Carter as well as some of his most famous lyrics.

A video of the surprise presentation was shared on social media. Weezy was beaming as he was surrounded by professional skaters Torey Pudwill, Keelan Dadd, and Yosef Ratleff.
“I can’t think right now, but this is absolutely amazing and beautiful. This is amazing,” said a shocked Weezy while acknowledging the “homies.

Wayne has been skating for more than a decade. He discussed his newfound love with Atlanta’s Hot 107.9 in a 2012 interview.
“I picked up the skateboard thinking it’d be a hobby, but it’s turned into a lifestyle,” he explained. “To be fully committed, you must live that lifestyle. You have to be about that life now, with these young kids. Rap is being pushed to the back burner. Skating has taken the place of rap.”
Wayne, on the other hand, has not given up on his music career. He announced earlier this year that Tha Carter VI was on the way. He also recently received his first RIAA Diamond certification for “Lollipop,” his 2008 hit.
