Nigerian singer Lekan Osifeso Jr., widely known as Lojay, has opened up about his bond with Folashade Adeleke, daughter of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke.
In a recent interview, the Monalisa hitmaker set the record straight, clarifying that his connection with Folashade is strictly friendship.
Rumors had been swirling about a possible romance, especially since Folashade is also a cousin to Afrobeats superstar Davido. Lojay, however, dismissed the speculation, describing her instead as a trusted friend and part of his inner circle.
“Fola is literally my best friend,” he explained. “From the first day we met, I knew she was different. She’s the only woman in the 30BG crew, and she holds it down for everybody. Since then, we’ve just clicked and remained close.”
The singer went further to share that he is not looking to be in a relationship at this point in his life. According to him, his focus is on healing and personal growth rather than romance.
“Unfortunately for me, I’m not ready for a relationship yet. Some people assume that means you’re messing around, but that’s not my reality. Sometimes you genuinely need time to heal from past experiences, and that’s where I am right now,” he added.
