Lady Gaga has debuted her first image from the much-anticipated “Joker” sequel.
On Tuesday, the Academy Award winner shared a photo of herself holding Joaquin Phoenix’s face on her social media pages. Lady Gaga captioned her photo “Folie à Deux,” a reference to her upcoming film and a scientific term for a shared psychotic disorder between two people in close proximity.

Todd Philips, who co-wrote and directed the first Joker film, will direct the sequel.
The first Joker made over a billion dollars worldwide and received 11 Oscar nominations, including best picture. The film was nominated for two Academy Awards: best actor and best original score.
Phoenix, who won the Oscar, is seen with faded makeup in Lady Gaga’s photo. The plot of the second film is unknown, but Lady Gaga is expected to play Harley Quinn, the iconic DC Comics character and Joker’s romantic interest. In August, Philips teased the film with a video featuring silhouettes of both characters in an embrace.
