Funke Akindele isn’t one to shy away from clapping back, and she proved it once again after a social media user mocked her choice of packaging while she shared food with her guests.
The actress had posted a Snapchat video on Tuesday night, showing how she entertained her crew at home. When it was time to leave, she handed them food neatly packed in yellow and black plastic bags.
One viewer, however, decided to make fun of her, commenting that the bags didn’t look “classy.”
“Aunty Funke, you are not posh at all. Why use yellow and black nylon?” the person wrote.
Never one to ignore such remarks, Funke fired back with her trademark sharp wit. She reminded the critic that she lives life on her own terms and doesn’t need anyone’s approval to decide how to run her home.
“Oh, maybe I should go buy plastic bags from Macy’s or Nordstrom,” she quipped. “You can even come and get them for me if it bothers you that much. By the way, I’ve already blocked you—it’s a privilege you were even seeing my snap in the first place. At least you know I’m older, even if I’m not old enough to be your mum. Wide mouth.”
