We frequently witness mothers attempting to match their kids with possible partners. Even if we avoid it, the saying “mom always knows best” might not be all that far off the mark. This is demonstrated by May and David.
At a family, the gathering is where they first met. Their mums introduced them in a well-thought-out maneuver that turned out to be very successful. At first glance, there was true love. Mothers set us up! On February 9th, 2019, I had a 5-minute encounter with David during a family gathering in Nigeria. Love was evident at first sight. When he was a baby, he had only ever traveled to Nigeria once. Although our mothers, who attended the same university in the 1980s, had planned to introduce us there, they didn’t need to—just getting us in the same place at the same time was sufficient, in my opinion. He had good looks! (and more so now, hehe!).
The next time I saw him was the morning after the incident, and we talked for an additional ten minutes. We only spoke for a brief while before the game was over. We arranged to meet up before he left Nigeria after exchanging phone numbers.
He proposed to me with a ring on February 20th, 2021, two years after I had already wed him in my heart. Please remember to pray for our mothers each time you pray. They were the angels God sent to unite the two of us. Such a match!
