Today (March 30), InStyle Magazine published an interview with Megan Thee Stallion in which she discussed her Revlon partnership, vacationing in Miami and her mental health. In terms of when she’ll release a new album, the Houston singer-songwriter has stated that recording isn’t currently high on her priority list. “When I’m in a better place,” she says, “fans can expect new music.” “Right now, I’m focused on healing.”
She went on to talk about what she does in her spare time and why it’s important for her to relax. “Because the music and entertainment industries can be demanding, it’s critical to take breaks to avoid burnout.” “It’s all about balance in life,” she explained.
It’s been almost a year since Thee Stallion released her sophomore album, Traumazine, an 18-song collection featuring Key Glock, Latto, Pooh Shiesty, Rico Nasty, Jhené Aiko, Future, and others. The album debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, selling 63,000 album-equivalent units in its first week.
Megan Thee Stallion appeared in court before the end of 2022 to testify against Tory Lanez, who was accused of shooting the “Savage” rapper in 2020.
Lanez was later found guilty of assault with a semiautomatic handgun, possession of a loaded and unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and gross negligence in discharging his firearm. Following the verdict, Megan penned an open letter about surviving “the unimaginable” in ELLE Magazine, as Rap-Up previously reported.
“For years, my attacker laughed and joked about my trauma,” she explained. “For years, my assailant spread false stories about what happened on the night of July 12, 2020.” For years, my assailant attempted to use social media to undermine my authority. Consider how it feels to be called a liar on a daily basis. Especially from someone who was once a member of your inner circle.”
