She has a distinct sense of style.
Meghan Markle has been keeping a low profile amid the ongoing drama with Prince Harry and the royal family, but she debuted a new look in a video message yesterday.
As she gave an introduction to her good friend Misan Harriman’s TED Talk on Sunday, Markle, 41, appeared to debut a lighter hair color with red highlights, sporting her center-parted locks in a poker-straight, layered style.
Although it appears she had keratin straightening treatment, the Duchess of Sussex, who will not be attending King Charles III’s coronation next week, has long been a fan of Kérastase’s Oléo-Relax line ($129).
Years ago, the royal told Beauty Banter that she “religiously” uses the frizz-smoothing products of the haircare brand, and her sister-in-law Kate Middleton, 41, is also said to use the same line.
In addition to her sleek locks, Markle wore a glowy beauty look that included a glossy pink lips, rosy cheeks, and smoky brown eyes.
As she delivered Harriman’s introduction from her California home, she wore a simple, sleeveless beige boatneck top.
“Our next speaker has an unmatched eye for a good photograph,” Markle said in her speech, praising Harriman, who photographed Princess Lilibet, 1, for her birthday photos last year.
Markle continued her introduction to Harriman’s speech by saying she has “experienced his talent firsthand as he has captured many meaningful milestones for me and my family.”
The duchess’ appearance follows confirmation that she will not attend the coronation on May 6.
Prince Harry, 38, will be in attendance without his wife, who will remain in California with Lilibet, and Prince Archie, who will turn four on coronation day.
The Telegraph reported last week that Markle wrote a letter to King Charles in 2021 in which she expressed her concerns about “unconscious bias” in the royal family.
The duchess, on the other hand, responded on Saturday by issuing a statement in which she stated that she was “going about her life in the present, not thinking about correspondence from two years ago related to conversations from four years ago.”
She appears to be doing well, based on her new look.
