The super-producer will make a comeback on Friday with the release of his new album Heroes & Villains. Prior to its release, he shared an epic short film with Young Thug, Gunna, and Morgan Freeman that also included brand-new tracks from Chris Brown, 21 Savage, and Future.
The Gibson Hazard-directed clip features Freeman, who previously provided narration for Metro and 21 Savage’s 2020 album Savage Mode II. Metropolis is in danger without its hero.
“Villains emerge from the darkness when Metro isn’t around. Metropolis is on the verge of anarchy, according to Freeman.
Thugger and Gunna make brief appearances in the Dark Knight-inspired clip as confused newscasters broadcasting live from P News, while LaKeith Stanfield plays the “new evil in town.”
As he gets ready to rescue the city from despair, Freeman offers Metro a motivational speech. The city adores legends, but they require a hero tonight. He asks, “Which one do you want to be?
Before getting ready to battle evil, Metro dons his chain and departs in his own Batmobile, complete with the registration plate “Metrooo.”
He also promises a brand-new song with Chris Brown that will feature a JAY-Z sample from “So Appalled” in the closing credits.
