President Akufo-Addo has made changes to his government in response to months of public pressure.
This comes just a month after former Trade Minister Alan Kyerematen and Agriculture Minister Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto resigned to concentrate on their respective political campaigns.
On Tuesday, February 7, as required by the 1992 Constitution, the President wrote to the Speaker of Parliament informing him of the new changes in government.
New ministers have been appointed, while others have been reassigned to other ministries.

K.T Hammond, Member of Parliament for Adansi Asokwa, has been named Minister-designate for Trade and Industry.

Brian Acheampong, Member of Parliament for Abetifi, has been named Minister-designate for Food and Agriculture.

Mohammed Amin Adam, Member of Parliament for Karaga, has been appointed as Deputy Minister at the Energy Ministry. He has been appointed Minister of State in the Ministry of Finance. He will take over for Charles Adu Boahen.

Stephen Asamoah Boateng has been named Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs Minister-designate.

Herbert Krapah, Deputy Minister at the Trade Ministry, has been appointed Deputy Minister-designate at the Energy Ministry. He takes over for Mohammed Amin Adam.

Meanwhile, Herbert Krapah has been replaced as Deputy Minister-designate for Trade and Industry by Dr. Stephen Amoah.

Osei Bonsu Amoah, Member of Parliament for Akuapem South, has been appointed Minister of State in the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development.
