After an outstanding performance at the 73rd Miss Universe competition in Mexico, Nigeria’s representative, Chidimma Adetshina, has shared her overwhelming pride and gratitude for the unforgettable experience. Reflecting on her journey, she described it as a dream come true.
Taking to Instagram, Chidimma expressed her heartfelt thanks to her fans, especially Nigerians and Africans, for their unwavering support. She highlighted how their encouragement and belief in her made a significant difference in her journey.
In addition to her fans, she also appreciated her core team and supporters, acknowledging their vital role in helping her achieve this milestone on the global stage.
Although Denmark’s Victoria Kjaer Theilvig won the Miss Universe 2024 title, Chidimma made history as the first runner-up, marking a proud moment for both Nigeria and Africa in the competition’s legacy.
In her message, Chidimma wrote, “I came, I saw, and I shook the universe. Returning home as Miss Universe First Runner-Up and Miss Universe Africa & Oceania fills me with immense gratitude. Thank you, Nigeria and Africa, for believing in me and helping me chase my dreams.”
