The indie rock road trip kicks off in Asbury Park, New Jersey this August.
Modest Mouse and the Pixies will co-headline a North American tour this summer, with Cat Power joining them. The three acts will be on the road throughout August and September, with dates spanning the continent beginning on August 20 in Asbury Park, New Jersey.
The tour will make 19 stops before concluding on September 16 in San Diego, California. The dates are in addition to Pixie’s upcoming May shows in support of Doggerel, their first new album in three years. The band relocated to Guilford, Vermont, to record the project, and a new short documentary gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at the album’s creation.

Modest Mouse will also join Weezer on a 30-city tour in June, along with Future Islands, Spoon, Momma, Joyce Manor, and White Reaper. With Weezer as the headliner, two bands will join the lineup each night from June to September, with the exception of a stop in Gary, Indiana. Momma will be paired with Modest Mouse.
Power released Covers last year, her third collection of covers after The Covers Record in 2000 and Jukebox in 2008. Power tackled everything from Frank Ocean’s “Bad Religion” and Lana Del Rey’s “White Mustang” to Billie Holiday’s “I’ll Be Seeing You,” the Pogues’ “A Pair of Brown Eyes,” and even a song by Ryan Gosling’s band, Dead Man’s Bones, on the new LP.
