Mohammed Kudus is unfortunately sidelined for Ghana’s upcoming international friendlies against Nigeria and Uganda.
Originally included in Otto Addo’s squad, the West Ham United standout is now forced to sit out both matches due to a shoulder injury. Reports from 3Sports indicate that Kudus experienced discomfort during West Ham’s recent 1-1 draw with Aston Villa, despite completing the full 90 minutes.
As he focuses on recuperating from his shoulder injury, Kudus will remain in London, missing out on the chance to represent his national team.

His absence will surely be felt by Otto Addo and the Black Stars, especially considering Kudus’ outstanding performance for David Moyes’ side this season. With 11 goals and four assists under his belt, including a notable brace against Freiburg in the Europa League, Kudus has been a key player for West Ham.
Ghana is set to take on Nigeria in Marrakesh on March 22, followed by a match against Uganda at the same venue on March 26. While Kudus may not be able to join his teammates on the field, his talent and presence will be missed as Ghana prepares for these challenging fixtures.

The Black Stars are gearing up for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers with a series of friendly matches against Nigeria and Uganda.
Otto Addo, the head coach, unveiled a 26-man squad over the weekend for these important fixtures. However, some players had to withdraw for various reasons.
Athletic Bilbao forward Inaki Williams won’t be joining the squad due to an injury setback. Similarly, Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey opted out, having recently returned from injury and wanting to focus on recovery.
LA Galaxy’s newly-signed winger, Joseph Paintsil, also won’t be part of the squad as he’s still resolving immigration documentation issues.
On a positive note, RB Salzburg midfielder Forson Amankwah has received a late call-up, adding depth to the squad for the matches against Nigeria and Uganda.
