Joy Mojisola Raimi Shines Bright as Miss World Nigeria 2025
A big round of applause for 24-year-old Joy Mojisola Raimi, who just claimed the crown as Miss World Nigeria 2025 — and what a moment it was!
Representing Osun State, Joy stood out from 36 other incredible women at the pageant’s grand finale, which took place at the Federal Palace Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos. Her win was officially announced by the event’s organizer, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce, who shared the exciting news via his 𝕏 page.
A proud graduate of the University of Port Harcourt, Joy not only impressed the judges with her poise and presence, but also with her passion. She’s the founder of The Love for Humanity project — an initiative focused on kindness, compassion, and making life a little better for those who need it most.
In the final moments of the competition, Joy was joined on stage by contestants from Imo, Ebonyi, Abuja, and Abia. When asked to speak about facing bullying, she didn’t hold back. She opened up about losing her mother at a young age and being mistreated by a caregiver who once told her she’d never amount to anything. But standing tall in that spotlight, she proved just how wrong they were.
With this crown, Joy now steps onto an even bigger stage — she’ll be representing Nigeria at the 72nd Miss World pageant in Hyderabad, India, from May 7 to 31, 2025, going head-to-head with contestants from 140 countries.
Here’s to grace, grit, and a queen who turned her pain into power. Go Joy!
