Angie Martinez released the latest episode of her “IRL Podcast” with Moneybagg Yo on Wednesday (May 31). During the interview, the Memphis rapper discussed his difficult upbringing, family, losing loved ones to violence, and much more.
Martinez inquired about his relationship status with Ari Fletcher about halfway through the interview. Moneybagg responded by being open about his affairs.
“I made errors. “I made bad choices,” Moneybagg Yo admitted. “That’s why I rock so hard with her. She was very helpful in getting me through that situation. I look at it as if I were just being a n***a, a n***a from Memphis. That’s what I was used to in my environment. I’d never been in a real relationship where I was talking to her all night and checking in… It’s all new to me. It’s a big change.”
The legendary media maven then questioned Fletcher about his initial reaction to his cheating. “You know, she ain’t take that well,” Moneybagg observed. “And then it got crazy… It’s not the same as having the person call them and try to tell them everything. ‘He did it. He was acting in this manner. Did you know he was like this?’ That made matters worse for her. But I kept the letter G. ‘Yeah, I did it. I apologize, baby. I made errors. That was back then.'”
“This is a difficult situation,” he continued. Relationships are challenging. I’m not perfect; I’m only human. People are going through this right now. They’re not going to come on here with Angie Martinez and say what they did because they don’t want to face the consequences.”
