Veteran Nollywood actor Saidi Balogun has shared the emotional battles he faced in 2024 and the beginning of this year, revealing the deep pain of loss and unexpected challenges.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, the actor posted a photo showing an injury on his hand, reflecting on a series of hardships that tested his strength.
He described losing his daughter as a heartbreaking experience that shattered him in ways words couldn’t explain. Despite the pain, he expressed gratitude to those who stood by him during that difficult period.
“The past year was tough. On my birthday last February, I was filled with hope and plans for the future, but life took an unexpected turn. The biggest blow was losing my beloved daughter, an experience that broke me beyond what anyone can understand,” he wrote.
He further revealed that just as he started 2025 with renewed hope, another challenge struck days before his birthday. Addressing those who noticed his birthday photos showing only one hand, he explained that it was due to the recent incident.
“Through it all, I keep saying Alhamdulillah because I know Allah never abandons His own. Life will test your strength, but you must remain steadfast. May the Almighty be with us all.”
