Naomi Osaka resorted to social media today (June 2) to share gorgeous images from what appears to be a celebration of her growing pregnancy. In one photo, the radiant tennis star stands in front of a prop that indicates the gender of the upcoming bundle of joy, which is a girl. Cordae, Osaka’s soon-to-be father, kisses her stomach in another.
Osaka originally revealed her pregnancy in January by showing a photograph of an ultrasound. She also published an open message to followers and supporters regarding her future chapter (in both English and Japanese).
“I know that I have so much to look forward to in the future,” the note stated. “One thing I’m looking forward to is my child watching one of my matches and saying, ‘That’s my mom.'” 2023 will be a year full with lessons for me… I adore each and every one of you.”

In an interview with “The TODAY Show,” Osaka spoke on her plans for parenting. “I’m most excited about having a kid in the stands watching me play tennis and them saying, ‘Hey, that’s my mom on the court,'” she said. “I believe that moment will be surreal, and I eagerly await the day when it occurs.” It truly feels like a dream to think of my own child watching me from the stands, and I’m so pleased that it’s coming up in the not-too-distant future.”
The four-time Grand Slam singles champion wants to help other babies in need as well. She launched a collaboration with Crate and Kids and Baby2Baby in May. Her overarching objective is to raise $100,000 for charity causes and provide one million diapers to impoverished families throughout the world.
