Death toll from twin earthquakes that struck southern parts of Türkiye claimed more than 49,000 lives
Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis stated that the club has always stood in solidarity with those in need.
In an interview with Anadolu, De Laurentiis expressed solidarity with earthquake-ravaged Turkey.
De Laurentiis also mentioned that Napoli started a fundraiser for victims last month, which was co-led by former Fenerbahce player Eljif Elmas.
Eljif Elmas, Piotr Zielinski, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Victor Osimhen’s jerseys were offered to raise funds for Turkey and Syria.
De Laurentiis was asked if there were any players interested in the upcoming Turkish Super League transfer season.
“The club’s scout team is always working, so never say never,” he said.

He went on to say that his ambition is to lead Napoli to the Serie A title. “Everyone in Napoli is rooting for the team to win the championship. I believe that several million Napoli residents will attend the championship festivities.”
Napoli currently leads the Italian top flight with 65 points, 15 more than second-place Inter Milan.
Napoli is attempting to win their first Serie A title in 33 years.
De Laurentiis also took to Twitter to congratulate Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen, who was named the Foreign Press Association’s “Best Foreign Athlete of the Year” in Italy.
“Thank you, Foreign Press. A lovely award ceremony for Victor and a high-level discussion.”
According to officials, the twin earthquakes that struck Turkey on February 6 killed more than 49,000 people.
