Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, has won the presidential election in Bayelsa State with 68, 818 votes.
The Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, finished second with a total score of 49, 975 votes, while the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, finished third with a total of 42, 572 votes.
Prof. Lilian Salami, the State Returning Officer and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Benin announced the summary of results for the state’s eight local government areas on Monday night at the Prof. Mahmood Yakubu Media Centre, Yenagoa INEC office.
