Ojo Arowosafe, popularly known as Fadeyi Oloro, the renowned Nigerian actor, has died.
Arowosafe, who played Fadeyi Oloro in the classic Yoruba TV series ‘Arelu’ in the 1980s, died on Tuesday evening.
The actor’s daughter, Fasunwon Bidemi Oluwafunke, confirmed his death to Premium Times.
For several years, the actor had been battling an undisclosed illness.
Fadeyi was featured in a live Instagram session with media personality Daddy Freeze last month.
During the session, the Yoruba actor requested financial assistance from the public in order to pay his medical bills.
Tobi Adegboyega, the UK-based Nigerian pastor of SPAC Nation, was moved by his plight and gave him N3 million.

Arowosafe was born in Igbara Odo, Ekiti, on September 15, 1957.
He rose to prominence in Yoruba films for his antagonistic roles and energetic recitation of incantations.
He also appeared in hundreds of films, including ‘Alagbara Ilu,’ ‘Jagun Ina,’ ‘Inu Bibi,’ and ‘IJA Abija’.
‘Osimi Ika,’ ‘Adani Lori,’ ‘Fitu Fona,’ ‘Ruke Rudo,’ ‘Bola Ele,’ and ‘Ade Ogun’ were among the others.
In December 2021, the Coalition for a Better Nigeria asked well-meaning Nigerians to help the Yoruba actor recover from his illness.
