Seyi Awolowo Says Nigerian Men Have That ‘It’ Factor—And He’s Not Wrong
Seyi Awolowo isn’t shy about giving props where they’re due—and this time, he’s raising a glass to Nigerian men, especially the Yoruba gents.
In a candid chat with journalist Femi Obong-Daniels, the former BBNaija star didn’t hold back in celebrating what makes Nigerian men stand out in the dating scene. According to Seyi, no one does it quite like them when it comes to charm, swagger, and knowing how to treat a woman right.
“Let’s be real,” he said. “Even the ladies who throw shade at us know deep down—we’ve got the sauce.”
And he didn’t stop there. Seyi believes Nigerian men have something others simply don’t: a natural confidence, a sense of style, and the unspoken ability to read the room—and the body language across it.
“We know when to be bold, when to be smooth, and when to let the wingman step in,” he said, laughing. “That’s not something you learn—it’s just built in.”
He also highlighted how Nigerian men balance their hustle and their play. “We work hard, but we play even harder. We’re not loud about it—we just have that cool, calm, collected energy.”
Seyi gave an extra nod to Yoruba men in particular, saying they bring a certain kind of “steeze” to the table. “We’re wired differently,” he added. “That’s just the truth.”
So, the next time you hear someone say Nigerian men aren’t doing enough, Seyi wants you to know—they definitely are. And apparently, the rest of the world is noticing too.
