Omah Lay Involved in Car Crash — But He’s Okay
Popular Nigerian singer Omah Lay recently survived a car accident that left fans momentarily shaken. The incident reportedly happened in Lagos on Saturday and involved two of his Tesla vehicles.
The news came to light through UK-based music personality Adesope Olajide—aka Shopsydoo—who shared the update on Instagram. Though the details around the crash are still unclear, one thing’s certain: Omah Lay made it out unharmed.
Posting a short video of the aftermath, Shopsydoo wrote, “#OmahLay Tesla truck. Thank God for life. He’s safe. We’ll buy two more once that album drops. More stories to tell.”
The artist hasn’t yet commented publicly, but fans have flooded social media with well-wishes and relief.
Meanwhile, in Court… Mr P Testifies Against His Brother Jude Okoye
Elsewhere in the entertainment world, another major headline is unfolding—this time in court. Peter Okoye, known by many as Mr P of the former P-Square duo, recently appeared as a witness in the ongoing legal case involving his elder brother Jude Okoye.
Jude, once the manager of the music group, is facing trial alongside his company, Northside Music Ltd., over allegations tied to missing royalties amounting to $1 million and £34,537.
Mr P told the court that he submitted a formal complaint to the EFCC back in January 2024 after noticing discrepancies in royalty payments. What began as a petition against a company eventually pointed fingers at family.
He also revealed that an investigation found that Jude’s wife, Ifeoma, owns 80% of the business, while Jude controls the remaining share. Though both Jude and Paul Okoye were invited by authorities, only Jude was held for questioning.
It’s a dramatic and emotional turn of events for one of Nigeria’s most iconic music families, and all eyes remain on the court proceedings as they continue.
