In order to preserve the country’s reserves, drinking water supplies are being cut off at night in cities across Tunisia.
The shortage is being blamed on a severe drought, as well as poor water management and faulty infrastructure.
In some areas, up to 50% of water is lost before it reaches the tap.
According to correspondents, the decision to limit water supplies will exacerbate public outrage over inflation and inadequate public services.
