Over the weekend, veteran Nollywood actor Zack Orji was hurried to the hospital. The National Hospital in Abuja has confirmed that he is now in a stable condition and has begun communicating. In a positive update, Tayo Hastrup, the hospital’s Public Relations Officer, shared, “He is in stable condition. His wife is by his side. We really thank God for him.”
On December 31, 2023, the actor reportedly collapsed in his home toilet and was swiftly taken to the hospital, where he was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Initial reports indicated that he was unable to speak or walk and was in a critical condition. Concerns heightened among fans when a video emerged, revealing the actor in a frail state on a hospital bed.

During his hospital stay, Zack Orji received visits from prominent figures, including Oluremi Tinubu, the wife of the president, and Hajia Nana Shettima, the wife of the Vice President. Other notable personalities such as Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, the Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Rachael Umahi, the wife of the Minister for Works, and Bello Matawalle, the wife of the Minister of State for Defence, joined the First Lady during her visit.
