22-year-old forward becomes the youngest player to reach 30 Champions League goals
Norwegian footballer Erling Haaland scored five goals in Manchester City’s 7-0 win over RB Leipzig on Tuesday, propelling the English club into the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals.
Man City’s Haaland was on fire, scoring five goals, including the game-winning penalty kick.
Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan scored one goal in the second half, and his Belgian teammate Kevin De Bruyne scored a classy goal in injury time to secure his team’s comfortable victory.
The English team won the match 8-1 on aggregate to advance to the quarterfinals.

Haaland, who was named player of the match, became the youngest player in Champions League history to score 30 goals.
On Tuesday, Haaland beat Paris Saint-French Germain’s forward Kylian Mbappe to become the record holder in this field at the age of 22 years and 236 days.
Mbappe scored 30 Champions League goals when he was 22 years and 352 days old.
Haaland also became the player with the most Champions League goals in the shortest amount of time.
The Norwegian international broke Ruud van Nistelrooy’s record by doing it in 25 games.
In 34 Champions League games, the former Manchester United and Real Madrid forward have 30 goals.

Benjamin Henrichs, a Leipzig defender, praised Haaland’s performance against them.
“In my entire career, I have never lost a game by a score of 7-0. We’re having a rough and bitter evening. Haaland is physically imposing. He has a lot to offer; defending him is difficult “Henrichs stated following the game.
Furthermore, Haaland has become the third player in Champions League history to score five goals in a single game, joining Brazilian forward Luiz Adriano (2014) and Argentine superstar Lionel Messi (2012).
Inter advance to quarterfinals despite Porto draw
Inter Milan qualified for the last eight of the Champions League for the first time since 2011.

At Dragao Stadium, Inter goalkeeper Andre Onana made five saves. Porto hit the crossbar twice in injury time. Denzel Dumfries, an Inter midfielder, also cleared the ball off the line.
