“Dr. Edward Omane Boamah Assumes Role as Director of Elections and Information Technology for NDC Ahead of 2024 Elections”
Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, former Minister of Communications, has embraced his new role as the Director of Elections and Information Technology for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in preparation for the upcoming 2024 elections.
On August 24, 2023, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the General Secretary of NDC, issued a press release to announce his appointment.
Taking the reins from Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, who held the position since 2019, is Dr. Omane Boamah.
In the press release, Dr. Omane Boamah expressed his enthusiasm for the appointment, extended his gratitude to the NDC leadership for their trust in him, and pledged his commitment to contribute to the party’s efforts in securing government control.
“I wholeheartedly accept the responsibility of leading the NDC IT and Elections Directorate.”

Our team has demonstrated its competence and potential in the recent NDC Presidential Primaries and the Assin North Constituency Parliamentary By-Election.
I am dedicated to working tirelessly and putting forth my best efforts to ensure victory for the party and all Ghanaians in the 2024 elections, in support of our Leader and 2024 flag bearer, President John Dramani Mahama, Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, and the entire NDC leadership and supporters.
