Football transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio has suggested that Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is unlikely to join Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the upcoming transfer window, despite PSG’s interest in the player.
While PSG is keen on signing Osimhen, Di Marzio indicates that the striker has other clubs in mind for his next move.
Osimhen recently extended his contract with Napoli until 2026, with a release clause set at 130 million euros. However, this hasn’t deterred interest from other clubs.
With Kylian Mbappe expected to leave PSG at the end of the current season, the club is in the market for a striker. However, Di Marzio suggests that Osimhen may not be interested in PSG due to his previous experience in Ligue 1 with Lille, where he scored 13 goals in 27 appearances during the 2019/2020 season.
According to Di Marzio, Osimhen’s preferred destination, if he leaves Napoli, would be either Chelsea or Arsenal in the English Premier League.
“I’m not so convinced that Osimhen goes to PSG,” Di Marzio stated. “His preference was and remains England. Chelsea and Arsenal are two clubs that could grab Osimhen.”
