According to Pakistani media source Dunya News, where Arshad Sharif worked before departing the country in August, the body of well-known Pakistani journalist Arshad Sharif, who was slain on Sunday by Kenyan police, is traveling home.
After a delay in Doha, Qatar, his body is anticipated to arrive in Islamabad later on Tuesday afternoon. According to his wife Javeria Siddique, the journalist would be cremated on Thursday at a cemetery in Islamabad.
According to the Kenyan police, Mr. Sharif was “fatally wounded” while a passenger in a moving car after it failed to halt at a checkpoint.
The roadblock was set up by police while they searched for a stolen vehicle.
