Paris Hilton chose her son’s name long before he was born, and she recently shared the first photos of her baby boy.
The actress and her husband, Carter Reum, welcomed their first child together via surrogate in January.
“You are already loved beyond words,” she wrote on Instagram at the time.
Earlier this week, the new mom revealed on her iHeartRadio podcast, This Is Paris, that she’d already decided on a name for her son ten years ago.

“If all goes well, Carter and I will have a baby boy by the time you read this,” she said while reading an excerpt from her upcoming memoir, Paris: The Memoir, which is due out in March. We intend to name him Phoenix, a name I chose years ago while searching cities, countries, and states on a map for something to go with Paris and London.
“Phoenix has a few good pop culture references, but it’s the bird that flames out and then rises from the ashes to fly again.”
“I want my son to grow up knowing that disaster and triumph go around and come around throughout our lives. And that this should give us great hope for the future.”
Phoenix’s full name is Phoenix Barron Hilton Reum – the Barron honors the star’s grandfather, who was a “mentor” to her.
The actress recently opened up to Glamour UK and shared the first photos of her son in the magazine.
