Actors Taye Arimoro and Peggy Ovire are at the center of a heated controversy following a reported altercation on a film set.
In an Instagram Live, Arimoro shared his side, claiming the conflict began when he tried to leave the set after his contract hours had ended. According to him, Ovire and her team allegedly blocked his exit, leading to a physical confrontation that left him with visible injuries to his lips and gums.
Ovire, however, told a very different story. She alleged that Arimoro became aggressive and assaulted two crew members when they asked him to complete a few remaining scenes. In her Instagram statement, she said, “Taye, you attacked two crew members simply because they had no social media platform, no one to speak for them. They were just asking you to finish two short scenes so we could wrap the night. But then you went live, leaving out the part where the violence started.”
She added that the situation escalated when she tried to speak with him, saying he reacted sharply. “When I approached you to discuss the shoot, you got defensive. Later, when the Production Manager appealed for extra time, you punched him multiple times. He ended up on the floor before your driver intervened,” Ovire explained.
The actress also claimed that Taye’s driver became involved, resulting in her driver being injured, bleeding from the ear. She denied ever blocking his car or instructing her driver to do so, insisting that Arimoro drove off while she was still beside the vehicle.
The incident has sparked debates online, with fans and followers weighing in on both sides of the story as the dispute continues to unfold.
