Anto Lecky Opens Up About Life After Big Brother Naija
Former Big Brother Naija housemate Anto Lecky has shared the struggles she faced after leaving the reality show.
Speaking at a recent public event, she revealed that many people hold negative perceptions about women who take part in the show—often assuming they only join for fame or to exploit their bodies.
According to her, life after the show came with its share of challenges. She explained that walking into corporate spaces often meant dealing with judgmental stares and doubts about her intelligence or professionalism.
Despite this, Anto refused to let such opinions define her. Instead, she dedicated herself to developing her skills, talents, and education to prove her worth.
She noted that women are frequently told they are “not strong or smart enough,” but the best way to counter such bias is to keep building competence.
Encouraging young people, she stressed the importance of learning, unlearning, and continuous growth. In her words, the right opportunities always find those who are prepared.
Anto also urged her audience not to feel discouraged by rejection. She advised them to keep applying for jobs, joining communities, and putting themselves in spaces where their abilities can be recognized.
“Self-belief, preparation, and growth are key,” she said. “You don’t want to work for a company that won’t give you the chance to prove yourself. Someone out there is looking for the skills you have. Don’t waste time worrying about those who aren’t.”
She added that opportunities often come in unexpected ways, even when one feels underqualified on paper. The key, according to her, is to keep improving and positioning oneself for when that chance comes.
