Pep Guardiola’s wife, Cristina Serra, has shared an update following their split, reassuring everyone that she’s doing well.
The 52-year-old was recently spotted in Barcelona, appearing relaxed and cheerful while shopping solo, just days after news of the couple’s separation made headlines.
Dressed in casual grey trousers, white sneakers, and a cream coat accessorized with a designer handbag, Serra was approached by a reporter in the city center. When asked how she was feeling, she smiled and responded, “Perfecta, gracias” (“Perfect, thanks”). She also added, “Everything’s fine” when further questioned about her emotional state, according to reports from The Mirror.
However, when pressed about rumors linking their split to Guardiola’s decision to stay at Manchester City after signing a two-year contract extension, Serra chose not to comment.
The Reason Behind the Split?
Reports from Spain suggest the separation stems from Guardiola’s unexpected decision to remain in the UK, extending his role with Manchester City until 2027. Allegedly, Serra felt “enough was enough” after her husband reversed plans to leave the UK.
Serra, who moved back to Barcelona last summer with their youngest daughter, Valentina, 17, to focus on her business ventures, remained composed as she declined to address the speculation. After thanking the reporter, she continued into a clothing store, ending the brief exchange.
Meanwhile, their eldest daughter, Maria, recently opened up about her parents’ relationship in an interview with Vanity Fair Spain, shedding light on their personal dynamics amidst the public interest.
