Peter Okoye, also known as Mr P, has responded to the recent song theft accusations made by his twin brother and former bandmate, Paul Okoye, aka Rudeboy.
Rudeboy had accused Mr P and their former producer, Vampire, of stealing a song he wrote and planned to release in his upcoming album. The song, titled “Winning,” was allegedly written by Rudeboy but was released by Mr P, featuring the same producer, leaving Rudeboy shocked and upset.
In response, Mr P took to Instagram to address the claims, clarifying that it was impossible to steal what he rightfully co-created. He explained that the song “Winning” was co-written and composed by him and Calypso60, with production credits going to Vampire and co-production by Goldswarm.
Mr P urged his brother to let him focus on his music career and put an end to the negativity surrounding the situation. He stated, “No one can steal their own property! It’s all good. Thanks to @iam_vampire_official for clearing things up.”
He continued, “For the record, ‘Winning’ was written and composed by @calypso60music and me, produced by @iam_vampire_official and co-produced by @goldswarm. They all deserve their credit, and I truly appreciate them.”
Mr P concluded his post by requesting some peace and space to enjoy the success of his new single. “Just like I said in my open letter three months ago, ‘Allow me to do my music in peace.’ Now that ‘Winning’ is out, please let me enjoy my new release in peace. Enough with the negativity!”
He encouraged fans to continue streaming the track, saying, “‘Winning’ is available on all platforms; don’t let the distractions take away from the music. Love you all, peace.”
