Indigenous rapper Chibuzor Azubike Nelson, known as Phyno, has issued a strong message to fans who persistently compare him with Olamide or any other artist. Over the years, fans have often pitted Phyno, who primarily raps in Igbo, against Olamide, who raps in Yoruba, stirring unnecessary debates.
Recently, an X user with the handle @TheDamiForeign reignited the comparison, asking, “When it comes to rap, who’s the GOAT? Phyno versus Olamide.”
Phyno didn’t hold back in his response: “Yo!!! What is wrong with you guys, for God’s sake? Stop comparing me to my brother or anyone else for that matter. Do your banter with someone else. This is getting out of hand. wtf.”
Phyno made it clear that he has no interest in being compared, especially to someone he shares a deep connection with.
