The bodyguard for Megan Thee Stallion has vanished after skipping his assigned testimony.
In the trial where Tory Lanez is accused of shooting the “Savage” rapper, Justin Edison was scheduled to give a testimony on Friday, but he failed to appear in court.
TMZ claims that when detectives went to a home in Los Angeles on Monday morning to find him so he could testify, they were unable to find him.
Alex Spiro, Megan’s lawyer, claims that they last spoke with Edison on Thursday night and that they anticipate him to appear in court on Friday to provide testimony that would be “devastating” to Tory’s case. He has been sought after by law enforcement “round the clock.”
“He practically no longer exists. He has been sought by law authorities, but they have been unsuccessful, according to Spiro. He was also going to have shocking proof that unmistakably established Tory’s guilt.
Edison allegedly planned to testify that Tory shot Megan, according to Spiro. He was prepared to testify that Tory had admitted to him that he had shot the woman and had apologized for it.
In Spiro’s opinion, Tory’s trial is a victim of witness intimidation. He added that other witnesses who have been compromised or have attempted to be compromised are also giving evidence in this matter. “This type of wrongdoing has a trend. It’s as obvious as day.
On the witness stand last week, Megan’s former closest friend walked back several of the accusations she had made against Lanez. Kelsey Nicole Harris described the July 2020 shooting in a September interview that was aired in court on Friday, verifying Megan’s earlier evidence that Lanez shot her during an altercation after Kylie Jenner’s pool party.
Later this week, the jury phase of the trial is anticipated. Tory could spend up to 22 years and 8 months in prison and be deported back to Canada if found guilty as charged.
