A suspect in the shooting killing of Takeoff is being pursued by police.
Before the tragic shooting early Tuesday in Houston, Texas, a new video acquired by TMZ shows an armed man standing only a few steps away from Takeoff and Quavo. The man, according to police, is a person of interest in the rapper from the Migos’ passing.
The video provides a fresh perspective on what happened just before the shots were fired. A black-clad individual is spotted holding a gun in his right pocket. The firearm looks to be in his hand. Before the shooting started, Quavo was observed in a heated argument.
The man is seen raising his firearm and possibly shooting it seconds later, albeit the footage does not explicitly show that he fired the initial shot.
Following the tragedy, Quality Control Music, the longstanding record label of Migos, issued a statement lamenting the “monumental loss” and disclosing that a “stray bullet” was to blame for his demise.
We mourn the passing of our cherished brother Kirsnick Khari Ball, also known as Takeoff, with shattered hearts and great sadness, the statement’s opening line read. “We are horrified that senseless violence and a stray bullet have taken another life from this earth.”

CEO of Quality Control Pierre “P” Thomas paid a moving ode to a member of the Atlanta ensemble on Instagram.
King Young @yrntakeoff I’m not sure where to start, but I just want to say that everybody who knows me or you knows how much I love you and that you most definitely didn’t deserve to pass away at such a young age,” he wrote.
He demanded an end to the bloodshed. We are only given one life, and once it is gone, there is no turning back. So with that in mind, I want our community to keep in mind that there is no reason for us to resort to violence each time there is a difference of opinion. It’s acceptable to adore your siblings. We’ve all been guilty of self-hatred, but I hope one day this vicious cycle will transform us all.
He ends by pleading for the public to show consideration for Takeoff’s family at this trying time. This child belongs to someone. Let them complete this process in love and peace, he said. You’re from the stars, therefore I know you’ll be up there looking down forever. I will forever love you.”

Drake, who joined Migos on the “Aubrey & the Three Migos Tour” in 2018, also shared a heartfelt remembrance of Takeoff.
The best memories he had were of them all traveling the world together and spreading joy to every city they touched. I’ll concentrate on that for the time being. snooze on, space guy.
Additionally, he posted a picture of them taken on the “Walk It Talk It” video set. Drake remarked, “We were all supposed to look like this in our 60s for genuine.”
