Nigerian artist Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, recently shared a surprising story involving his friendship with popular crossdresser Bobrisky. During a chat on Echo Room, the singer opened up about a past moment when he found himself drawn to Bobrisky—without knowing the full story.
According to Portable, he once slid into Bobrisky’s DM with the idea of getting romantically involved, genuinely believing Bobrisky was a woman. It wasn’t until later that he realized the truth.
“I won’t lie—I had plans to toast Bobrisky and sleep with him. But I didn’t know he wasn’t a woman at the time,” he revealed, laughing at his own confusion.
Despite that mix-up, Portable says the two are on friendly terms, although things got a bit tense after he tried offering advice.
“Bobrisky is my guy. But I told him to try and live better, to stop presenting himself as a woman. That’s where we had issues,” he said.
He also added that if his words came off the wrong way, he’s open to making peace.
“If I said something that hurt him, make he no vex. I just always speak my mind, and that’s who I am.”
