John Mahama Returns to Ghana After AU Reform Talks
Former President John Mahama has arrived in Accra following his participation in a high-level retreat focused on African Union (AU) reforms.
The retreat, which took place from January 27th to 28th, was hosted by Kenya’s President, William Ruto, who has been leading efforts to strengthen the AU’s institutional framework.
During the event, Mahama joined other African leaders in discussions aimed at revitalizing the AU, improving peace and security across the continent, and addressing pressing regional challenges.
As part of his diplomatic engagements, Mahama extended his trip to Tanzania after initially making a stop in Angola, where he held talks with Angolan officials on bilateral cooperation.
His participation in these discussions reflects his continued role in shaping Africa’s future through strategic dialogue and collaboration with other leaders.
