Ex-partners can still be friends, as seen by Prince William and Rose Farquhar.
On Saturday, the Prince of Wales looked to be traveling alone as he attended the wedding of his first significant girlfriend in Gloucestershire.
William, 40, looked sharp as he made his way to the ceremony wearing a smart black tuxedo and a bowtie.
He attended the St Mary the Virgin church ceremony where his 39-year-old ex, who he dated in 2000, exchanged vows with George Gemmell.
Following the royal’s completion of his A-levels at the exclusive Eton College, William and Farquhar initially connected at the Beaufort Polo Club. According to Daily Mail, they were allegedly said to have been discovered canoodling in a field.
Farquhar moved to New York after their brief romance to study acting at the Lee Strasberg Institute, and she later appeared on “The Voice UK” in 2016.
It appears that William’s now-wife, Kate Middleton, did not attend the wedding.
William’s appearance comes just days after the second installment of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s explosive docuseries, in which the Duke of Sussex accused his brother of “screaming” at him during a meeting.
“It was terrifying to have my brother scream and shout at me, and my father [King Charles III] say things that were simply false, and my grandmother [Queen Elizabeth II] quietly sit there and just take it all in,” Harry claimed.
“Harry & Meghan,” a six-part docuseries, also accused Buckingham Palace aides of using Markle as a “scapegoat” to divert attention away from negative stories about other members of the royal family.
Buckingham Palace has made no comment on the claims made in the show. According to a source, William and Middleton have not seen the docuseries.
“William and Kate’s aides have briefed them on the show,” one insider joked.
Following the explosive headlines, senior members of the royal family have put on a united front, with many of them attending Middleton’s “Together At Christmas” concert at Westminster Abbey.
The Royal Foundation sponsored the second annual event, which paid tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II, who died on September 8 at the age of 96.
Middleton was accompanied by her husband and their two children, Prince George, 9, and Princess Charlotte, 7. Prince Louis, who is four years old, did not attend the event.
